I love that you are going hand-drawn. I suspect many of us will anyway. I definitely felt inspired by the in-class examples that employed some kind of hand technique.

Storyboard. Meaning your visuals should be near completion. And pick your audio and write your script (obviously all included on the storyboard). Lots of stuff to do in a short week.

OK I think I've got an 'alien invaders' sort of idea working.

How far do we need to be for next class? Thumbnails? Storyboard?

I'm hoping we don't need to actually be into FLASH yet.

HA! I don't think a parody that close to actual story would work, but I would think you could use characters that already exist and give them a new story. That was amusing, though. I always enjoy LOST humor.

That does help some, but I'm not coming up with any ideas yets. Too bad you can't tell the story of a song, I had a few really funny ideas for that one.

I take it you can't do any kind of parody with pre-existing characters?

I guess it's sort of a Molly Bang thing, except with motion added. We can illustrate it however we choose (photography, illustrations, etc). There are no specific requirements for the writing, just that we have to have some kind of scripting, either in voice over form or in words on the screen.

It has to be our own story, not a story that's already been written (ie, Little Red Riding Hood). We have to audio, either sound effects, a song or both. The story cannot be the story of the song, but the song can drive our (new) story.

It would probably be helpful for you to ask Stephanie to send you a few of the sample files she showed us. That really helped clear things up for me.

Ok so I just read the assignment sheet this morning for the first time since Saturday and It seems really vague to me.

Are we jsut doing out own personal Molly Bang project in Flash? Are there any requirements in regards to the writing? I really haven't come up with anything for this.
